The inaugural Farnham Charity Bike Ride was greeted with a warm and sunny day. Riders began arriving and registering from 8:30am including some who'd travelled many miles to be there.
144 riders had applied in advance, many more entered on the day with the total reaching 210 paying riders! In addition there were 29 accompanied children riders.
| As the numbers grew so did the sense of excitement and anticipation. There was a fabulous buzz as the start time approached. |

The event started promptly at 10:00am and all the riders gradually made their way across the start line with the challenging and scenic 23 mile route ahead of them. |
| Along the route there were 3 refreshment stations providing free water, and marshals positioned at 9 points along the route. |

Total net amount raised is was over £4,300 – a fantastic result for the first year!
Thanks to everybody that made all this possible – organisers, marshals, riders and sponsors alike! Special mention to St John’s Ambulance, for being there but thankfully not required. Thanks also to East Street Cycles, Click Financial, Kidd Rapinet Solicitors, and Kallkwik for their sponsorship and support.
