Farnham Charity Bike Ride
A fun event for all – cycle a circular route at your own pace through beautiful, local countryside
Rider Safety
Our prime concern is for the safety and well-being of all participants in the ride.
We strongly urge you to follow these rules:
- Wear a helmet
- Make sure your bike is roadworthy, safe and serviceable. East Street Cycles can prepare your bike for you before the ride, and help you and your children choose the right helmet.
- Observe the rules of the Highway Code
- Obey all instructions given by the Police or Route Marshals
- Ride in single file and do not try any dangerous passing. Keep over to the nearside of the road.
- Remember that while we have chosen the route to be as safe as possible, there are places where you will be on or crossing busy roads. You do not have any special right of way!!
- Keep your distance from the bike in front, do not go too fast downhill, signal if you intend to turn and do not stop suddenly.
In other words - GO CAREFULLY!
- The route passes through some lovely countryside and villages so please leave them as you find them.
- Do not drop litter or ride over grass verges.
- If you have a safety helmet - wear it!! If you don’t have one, we strongly recommend you get one and use it!!
Be Safe!! - WEAR A HELMET and enjoy the ride!
